What are your guiding stars?

Last week I wrote about choosing where we place our focus and attention, and how that colours our experiences, perhaps even in situations where things feel out of control.
Did you try any of the experiments I suggested?
What happened?
Once you start growing your awareness, and realize you have a choice about what you notice, you notice you have more choices.
Not just in what you see and experience, but in your way of being - with yourself, with others, with the world around you.
Each year I choose three words that reflect my intentions and my values for the year ahead. They're my guiding stars, and they're my way of choosing not only what I want to notice and become aware of, but what I want to bring to each day.
The three words I chose for this year are:
Passion, Tenderness, Agility
Passion is about remembering my WHY, and choosing it even when fear and doubt are present.
Tenderness acknowledges my tendencies to push harder when something's not working the way I wanted, and invites me to pause and be easier on myself.
Agility is about being able to think differently, take a new approach, change speeds.
These words dance together with me through each day. They're filters for how I experience life, and they remind me that I can choose what I want to bring to each moment. Some moments ask for more tenderness, some for more agility or passion. I get to notice what I'm feeling and choose.
How do you choose what you bring to each day? For yourself? For others?
Do you choose a word or words to be your guiding star(s)?
How do your words reflect what you want to experience more of?
How do they reflect your values?
How do remind yourself of your intentions so they become your way of being?
(If you're willing to share your words, or your musings around these questions, I'd love to hear from you!)
