Maybe you don't need to figure everything out.

What if you don't need to fix anything to be worthy of your own love?

I wrote last week about our powerful minds. One of the things our minds are great at is trying to figure out what the problem is and fixing it.

When we're not in the habit of looking inward, we look outward for clues about who we should (or shouldn't) be, what our lives should look like, what success or failure look like.

I've spent a lot of time over the years comparing myself to other people and coming up short.

And then trying to figure out how to unlock the magic door to the room with all the answers. Looking for the right meditation practice, the right self-help book, the right exercises, the right diet, the right spiritual practice...

Looking everywhere but within to try to access the best version of myself. It took me too much time to realize that the best version of myself already exists, and has for a long time.

She was there - I was just unable to recognize and love her.

I still don't have everything figured out, and I never will.

My work these days is around offering myself grace and compassion in those moments when I feel like there's something wrong with me - when I'm reacting, pushing back, putting up walls. And reminding myself that I can trust myself.

Trying to fix yourself is exhausting, and it's a forever project.

What if you don't need to fix anything to be worthy of your own love?
What if your own worthiness and unconditional love for yourself was the starting point? What if you could trust yourself with yourself?
What would self-care look like then?
